James Flynn is President and Chief Investment Officer of Hunt Real Estate Capital, a key part of Hunt’s vertically integrated real estate operating platform. Mr. Flynn is responsible for the management and strategic direction of Hunt’s commercial real estate debt and lending businesses. Under his leadership, Hunt‘s servicing portfolio has grown by more than $3 billion, and the business’s annual originations have increased by 80%.
Prior to joining Hunt in 2007, Mr. Flynn practiced law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (GDC) in its real estate practice group. Before joining GDC, Mr. Flynn was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Flynn is also CEO of Hunt Companies Finance Trust, a publicly traded REIT (NYSE: HCFT), and Executive Vice President of Hunt Investment Management.
Mr. Flynn holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
