James Flynn is chief executive officer (CEO) of ORIX Real Estate Capital (OREC), the combined company of Hunt Real Estate Capital, RED Capital Group and Lancaster Pollard.
In his prior role as CEO at Hunt, Mr. Flynn was responsible for the management and strategic direction of the firm’s commercial real estate debt and lending businesses. Under his leadership, the firm’s servicing portfolio grew by more than $3 billion and annual originations increased by 80%.
Prior to joining Hunt in 2007, he practiced law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (GDC) in its real estate practice group. Before joining GDC, he was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Flynn is also CEO of Hunt Companies Finance Trust, a publicly traded REIT (NYSE: HCFT).
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
