We offer a broad range of financing solutions to affordable multifamily owners and developers. Loans range from $3 million to $300 million. We have valued relationships with large property management and development firms, as well as with selected nonprofit housing organizations and public housing authorities.

We are a licensed Fannie Mae DUS™ lender, as a Freddie Mac Multifamily Approved Seller/Servicer, and a Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) approved lender. Hunt’s lending professionals bring years of experience and provide you with centralized negotiation, coordination, and pricing through long-standing relationships with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.

Hunt Real Estate Capital also provides proprietary permanent and bridge financing for multifamily properties. Our proprietary lending programs offer nonrecourse, first mortgage financing for the acquisition or refinancing of stabilized multifamily properties, as well as bridge financing for prestabilization multifamily properties expected to meet permanent financing criteria within 36 months of closing.

As a Fannie Mae DUS™ lender, we offer fixed and floating rate financing to facilitate the acquisition, refinancing, moderate and substantial rehabilitation of affordable housing properties nationwide. Loan terms range from 5 to 30 years, partial or full interest-only options may be available. Through these programs we offer first mortgage financing a subsequent supplemental (subordinate) financing.

Fannie Mae Affordable Financing Solutions

Freddie Mac

As a Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing (“TAH”) lender, we offer fixed and floating rate financing to facilitate the acquisition, refinancing, moderate and substantial rehabilitation of affordable housing properties nationwide. Through these programs we offer first mortgage financing a subsequent supplemental (subordinate) financing.

Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing (TAH)

Federal Housing Administration (FHA)

Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) is a national fast-track processing system for the FHA multifamily mortgage insurance programs. As an approved FHA MAP lender, Hunt Real Estate Capital is responsible for preparation of most documents required for an application for mortgage insurance and for making a recommendation to the HUD field offices based upon Hunt Real Estate Capital’s processing and underwriting.

Hunt Real Estate Capital provides propriety fixed and floating financing for multifamily and commercial properties. Our bridge lending program is designed for those seeking interim financing for rehabilitation, preparation for and/or transition to attractive permanent term financing. We structure bridge loans to meet permanent financing criteria within 12-60 months of closing. With our proprietary program, we alone make the credit decision and fund the loans.
