How Freddie Mac is making it easier and less expensive for owners of affordable housing to build and refinance their properties

Housing affordability is becoming an increasingly significant crisis for many Americans. As the costs of land and construction rise, the gap between supply of and demand for affordable housing has continued to widen. In response to this widespread problem, Freddie Mac has introduced a new Targeted Affordable Housing (TAH) Express program, which officially launched in April 2018.
