Hunt Real Estate Capital, a leader in financing commercial real estate throughout the United States, announced today that Aaron Wooler has joined the firm’s affordable housing group as Managing Director. He is the third team member hired recently to grow the newly formed West Coast affordable housing team. The team operates out of the firm’s new Arcadia, California office. Wooler will report to Paul Weissman, Senior Managing Director.
Last month, John McAlister joined Hunt Real Estate Capital as Managing Director, West Coast Team Leader, and Sean Spear was named Managing Director. In March, Tim Hoppin joined the affordable housing team, operating out of the firm’s Denver office.
“We are actively building our affordable housing platform. Today we offer our clients an extensive variety of financing products helping them extend their businesses,” noted Weissman. “The West Coast is an important growth area for affordable housing given the region-wide shortage of housing resources for its ever-growing population, and the increasing interest of its communities to address these needs.”
Hunt Real Estate Capital is long-established in the affordable housing debt and equity finance markets, having sourced and originated affordable loans since the 1980’s.
Wooler will focus on sourcing and originating affordable housing loans nationwide. He joins Hunt Real Estate Capital from Century Housing Corporation, Inc. where he was a Senior Vice President and grew their lending platform to be one of the Top 25 National Affordable Housing Lenders for the past two years according to Affordable Housing Finance magazine.
“Aaron is an experienced and highly successful affordable housing and agency lending executive,” added Weissman. “We are excited he joined Hunt Real Estate Capital and our West Coast team.”
Wooler earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Southern California-Marshall School of Business.
